LCC Annual Events

Lung Cancer Connection is committed to promoting education and awareness about lung cancer issues in St. Louis, Missouri, and throughout the world.

Fun Lung Run/Walk

Since 2009, LCC has hosted an annual 5K Fun Lung Run/Walk during the month of November, in recognition of Lung Cancer Awareness Month.  This event has quickly become St. Louis's  largest and most successful education and fundraising effort for lung cancer.  More than one thousand people participated in the 2011 run/walk, raising a total of nearly $80,000!  A big thank you to LCC supporters everywhere.

Information about this year's run/walk event will be available in the summer.

Education Seminar

Although lung cancer is lung cancer is America's number one cancer killer, with over 1,500 new cases diagnosed in the greater St. Louis area each year, very little information about treatment and emotional support is available to patients and their families.

In an effort to fill the void of information and assistance, each spring Lung Cancer Connection holds a free education seminar that's open to lung cancer survivors, as well as medical professionals and the general public.  The event, which features renowned lung cancer experts, is always a great opportunity for lung cancer patients to gain valuable insight into their medical issues, and network with others who face similar challenges.

Information about LCC's 2012 Education Seminar is coming soon!
