LCC Annual Lung Cancer Information Seminar
Lung Cancer Connection is proud to partner with the Cancer Support Community of Greater St. Louis to present our 2013 Lung Cancer Information Seminar:
"I'VE GOT LUNG CANCER! NOW WHAT?"
When: Saturday, October 12, 2013
8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Where: Sheraton Westport Lakeside Chalet
191 Westport Plaza
St. Louis, MO 63146
Attendance to the seminar is free, and a complimentary continental breakfast will be served from 7:30 a.m. to 8 a.m. Seating is limited to the first 100 people who sign up.
Topics will include: Updates in Treatment & Research, Clinical Trials, and Targeted Therapies; Treatment Side Effect Management; Surviving Lung Cancer Fatigue; Exercise and Nutrition Tips, the "New Normal": Life After Diagnosis; and Support for the Caregiver.
Although lung cancer is America's number one cancer killer, with over 1,500 new cases diagnosed in the greater St. Louis area each year, very little information about treatment and emotional support is available to patients and their families.
In an effort to fill the void of information and assistance, each year Lung Cancer Connection holds a free information seminar that's open to lung cancer survivors, as well as medical professionals and the general public. The event, which features renowned lung cancer experts, is always a great opportunity for lung cancer patients to gain valuable insight into their medical issues, and network with others who face similar challenges.
